Erin Walker named AAC Pitcher of the Week

Columbia College Softball pitcher Erin Walker has been named the AAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ranging March 3-9, 2014.

On the week, Erin had a 1-1 record, recording 11 strikeouts in a 4-1 win against Tennessee Temple where she had a 0.00 ERA, while striking out 7 in a loss against GA. Gwinnett. For the week, she had a 1.08 ERA.

She has also been Columbia's leading pitcher on the year as a whole, as she ranks #9 in the country in strikeouts (81), and 17th in the country in both wins (7) and strikeouts per game (9.24).

Overall for the season, Walker is 7-2 in the circle with 8 complete games, and has 81 strikeouts compared to just 7 walks. Additionally, she has an impressive 1.94 ERA.

Columbia hits the field again today with a doubleheader against Ga. Gwinnett at 4 and 6 PM, respectively.
