Senior Day
COLUMBIA, S.C.- The Columbia College Basketball team recognized four senior student-athletes at today's home game against Lee University-Kiara Fefie, LaPorcha Williams, Natasha Blackmore, and Emmie Bland.
Kiara Fefie graduated from Central High school in Phenix City, AL and has been a member of the basketball squad for four seasons. Kiara represented Columbia College in 134 games during her career and scored 869 points, 349 rebounds, 321 assists, and 190 steals. Kiara plans to graduate in May 2011 with a degree in Mathematics and plans to attend graduate school next fall.
LaPorcha graduated from Branwell High school in Barnwell, SC and has been a member of the basketball team for four seasons. LaPorcha represented Columbia College in 70 games during her career and scored 828 points, 176 rebounds, 75 assists, and 49 steals. LaPorcha plans to graduate in May 2011 with a degree in Psychology.
Natasha hails from Mansfield, TX and came to Columbia College in 2009 as a transfer from Allen County Community College and has competed with the Columbia College basketball team for two seasons. Natasha represented Columbia College in 51 games during her career and scored 164 points, 135 rebounds, 23 assists, and 14 steals. Natasha plans to graduate in May 2011 with a degree in Computer Information Science and attend graduate school in the fall.
Emmie graduated from Chester High School in Chester, SC and has competed with the Columbia College basketball team for four seasons. Emmie represented Columbia College in 106 games during her career and scored 865 points, 566 rebounds, 41 assists, and 30 steals. Emmie plans to graduate May 2011 with a degree in Psychology.
All four seniors were honored prior to the start of the game with their closest family and friends in attendance. Lee University went on to win the game 81-40. Columbia College looks to play their last regular season game away at Southern Poly on Monday, February 28th.
