Boesman came off the bench against Montreat and put up 7 points and 1 steal in 6 minutes, and against Bryan put up 5 points in 3 minutes.  Boesman also dominated against Union on 2/8/14 while not only holding her opponent from scoring, but had 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 7 points all in 11 minutes.  Boesman continued her academic success and sustained her 4.0 GPA giving her the All-Academic, the All-American Academic, and the Dr. Laurie B. Hopkins Award for Academic Excellence.

Sophomore Year:

With minimal playing time of 120 minutes, Boesman continued to shine with her offensive and defensive skills contributing 15 points, 11 assists, 6 steals, 4 offensive rebounds, and 9 defensive rebounds.  On 11/9/12 against Savannah State, a D-1 school, Boesman showed how she never skipped a beat scoring 5 points, and making 3 for 4 on the free throw line, while holding her opponent from scoring within the 8 minutes of playing time she received.  This was all accomplished with the endurance of a season-lasting injury.  Boesman excelled in the classroom as well with a 4.0 GPA, which awarded her All-Academic.  To end the season perfect she received the Coach’s Award for capturing the positive attitude part of Columbia College’s focus for both athletics and academics.

First Year:

Hailed as Broward County’s top 3-point shooter, and with a career of over 1,000 points at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Claire Boesman moved on to Broward College where she averaged 15 points and 3 rebounds per game.  After her first year there, she hung up her basketball shoes to raise a family in South Carolina.  With her passion and high hopes, even through adversities, Boesman earned the opportunity to dust off those shoes and continue her career at Columbia College.
