Post Season Awards for Basketball

Yesterday the post season awards for basketball were announced. On that list 6 Koalas received Academic All-Conference honors. Those players included; seniors Amber Sherrill, Alana Weyer, and Madison Ferguson; juniors Victoria Williams and Jenesai Mohammed and sophomore Hannah Kinard. In order to receive this honor the student-athlete has to have a cummulative gpa of 3.25 or higher, be a sophomore or higher and also be a current member of the team. 

Also honored yesterday was sophomore Denijah Johnson who was voted to 2nd team All-Conference. Johnson was a workhorse for the Koalas in 29 games she averaged 13.8 ppg, (400 points for the entire season) shooting 44% from the field, 9.4 rebounds with 64 assists, 61 steals and 34 blocks.
