Koalas Host Truett McConnell in AAC Contest
After an impressive 70-54 non-conference victory on Thursday over Paine College, the Columbia College women's basketball returns home to host Truett McConnell in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest. The tip-off is 2 pm on Saturday, Feb. 4, in the Godbold Center.
The Koalas will remain home for its next two games as they host Union on Feb. 7 and cross-town rivals CIU for Senior Day on Feb. 9.
The Koalas, who has already amassed three more wins than a year ago, enters the contest with a 7-14 overall record and 5-13 in the AAC.
Truett McConnell brings a 6-16 overall and 5-13 conference into Saturday's game.
In their win over Paine, the Koalas outrebounded the Lions 40-31. Columbia College put 18 points off 17 Lions turnovers.
Carnasia Wells and De'Asia Feaster finished the game in double figures. Wells dropped in a game-high 19 points, while Feaster scored 15. Aa'Breah Keitt had a solid game scoring eight points with seven rebounds and three steals.
Jada Brooks joined Wells with a game-high 19 points to lead Paine in scoring.
