Golf adds Remi Jeffries for 2014

Columbia College Golf Head Coach David Pennell is excited to announce the signing of Remi Jeffries to the 2014 recruiting class for the Fighting Koalas. Remi played six years on the Blythewood High School varsity girls golf team; receiving letter recognition four of those years and serving as team captain her senior year. 

She has a 3.9 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society and Blythewood High School Key Club. She mentors students at the elementary, middle and high school levels through her involvement with service opportunities including being a Senior Mentor for Blythewood High's Freshman First program.  She is Co-Founder and Vice-President of Girls Leading Empowering and Mentoring (GLEAM), a service organization dedicated to ensuring that high school girls who are academic leaders positively influence middle school girls from the surrounding community. 

In addition to her service activities, Remi is a culinary arts student at Blythewood High and has earned ServSafe and ProStart National Certification distinctions.

"We are excited to have Remi become a Koala, she will be an added assist to the Women's Golf Program at Columbia College," said Coach Pennell.
