Koalas Finish 7th at The AAC Fall Preview
The Columbia College Koalas finished out the Fall Season in Braselton, Georgia at The AAC Fall Preview on Monday and Tuesday, October 19th & 20th. The Chateau Elan Resort played host to the Fall AAC Championship which was contested on the Chateau Course.
Freshman, Lindsey Hoile, and Sophomore, Maddy Key, paced the Koalas in Round 1, both posting personal best scores of 11 over par, 83. Lindsey and Maddy kept up their good play in Round 2. Lindsey fired another career-low round of 81 and Maddy posted another solid 86. Alivia Waynick rebounded in round 2 to post an 86 and Savanna Wiegand recorded an 88. The Koalas finished 7th overall in the 14-team event. Individually, Lindsey Hoile finished tied for 16th overall, and Maddy Key tied for 28th.
Coach Tom Mason said, "This was a solid tournament for the Koalas. I believe we can take some momentum from this finish and build on it moving into the Spring schedule. Lindsey and Maddy played great. Alivia had a rough start, but a solid second round and Savanna had her best finish in an event as a Koala."
