COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College women's lacrosse team made their home debut on Friday afternoon in the first home women's lacrosse game since 2020. Unfortunately, the Koalas were no match for the Warner University Royals in falling 25-3 from Younts Stadium.
Freshman Taylor Gipson led the Koalas with two goals while sophomore attacker Madison Dibert added a goal off an assist from sophomore midfielder Meg Gill. Gill led the team with six draw control wins and four ground balls. Dibert and junior defender Briana Huff also had two ground balls each while Gipson also secured three ground balls and won a draw control while attempting four shots.
Freshman goalie Lilliann Imhof collected three ground balls and made seven saves.
Columbia is now 0-2 on the season and will next remain home to host Div. II Lees-McRae on Feb. 25 at 4:00 pm.
