Soccer Adds Melissa Cannavo

Walterboro, S.C. – Head soccer coach Josh Kiper announced the signing of Melissa Cannavo.  Cannavo was a four year letter winner for Colleton County High School. 

Cannavo will add depth to the Koalas’ midfield, playing center back.  She was a varsity captain her senior season and intregal part of the team’s success.  Melissa said about playing at Columbia College, “When I was adopted at the age of four, my dad, Carmine, gave me a soccer ball and taught me how to play the game. Since then, I’ve been hooked on soccer. It’s a major part of my life and I love it!  I’ve made a lot of friends through soccer and I am excited to make more at Columbia College!” 

She wants to double major in biology and chemistry in hopes to continue on to medical school.
