Jessica Martinez Set to Compete for Koalas
Williamstown, NJ – Jessica Martinez, a three sport athlete from Williamstown High School, has signed to compete with the Columbia College soccer team in the fall.
Martinez played soccer, basketball and softball all four years in high school. She received recognition in all three sports, but has decided to play soccer at the next level. In her senior year, she was named first Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Area (Group/Division),an All-Group All-star selection, an honorable mention for the All State team and she was this year’s team captain. As a Junior she was named to the 2nd Team All-Conference and as a Sophomore she was named honorable mention to the All-Conference team.
Head soccer coach Josh Kiper said, “Martinez excels as a mid-fielder and she has tremendous instincts and good speed. Jessica is a determined, aggressive and a ‘heady’ player who loves to compete. Her athleticism allows her to do all the little things on the field to contribute to team victories.”
Martinez is planning on majoring in Psychology with a minor in Forensic Sciences. She is looking forward to traveling down South to play for Columbia College.
