Family Day Victory over Warren Wilson

COLUMBIA, S.C.- The Fighting Koalas celebrated Family Day with a 3-0 win over Warren Wilson College. The young Koala's soccer team dominated possession most of the match putting pressure on Warren Wilson's defense with 21 shots and 7 shots on goal.

Columbia College’s solid defense held Warren Wilson to 5 shots on goal, while both Lauren Zarefoss and Elise Grider held down the goal letting nothing get by with a total of 5 saves between them. Freshman Taylor Willis sparked the koalas offense with an impressive 2 goal performance and Heather Moore’s insurance goal led the Fighting Koalas to their third win early this season. The Fighting Koalas look to play Mount Olive College away on September 8, 2010.
