Soccer Offense On Fire

Raleigh, N.C. - The Fighting Koalas soccer team put on an offensive show defeating Peace College in a non-conference match 7-0. The Koalas picked up two early goals in the opening three minutes of play, both from Jessica Martinez. Columbia's Isabella Jones was assisted by Heather Moore for goal no. 3. Moore place her corner kick past Peace's Goal Keeper, Daisy Valisko, to bring the total to four at the break. Columbia had a total of 30 shots on the game, 19 on goal.

The Koala's mid-field held possession most of the match leaving Peace College scoreless. Both Goal Keepers Lauren Zarefoss and Kacy Shortman had 4 saves between them. The Fighting Koalas are now 7-4 before entering into conference play on October 5th against Emmanuel.
