Aldrich Named AAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Asheville, NC – Columbia College (SC) Lakelee Aldrich has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Mercy Berkemeyer of Columbia International earned the Offensive Player of the Week.

Aldrich, a 5-5 sophomore defender from Cumming, Ga. (North Forsyth HS), helped anchor the Koala defense as it shut out USC Lancaster 5-0.  She also contributed offensively with one assist in picking up her first weekly honor of the season.

Columbia College will travel to Toccoa Falls College on Wednesday, Sept. 8, to take on the Eagles of Toccoa Falls.
