Koalas Lose Battle of the Bears At Home
The Koalas lost the battle of the bears at home on Wednesday evening as they fell to the visiting Truett-McConnell University Bears 5-0 at Younts Stadium.
Truett entered the game with a perfect 8-0 record in the AAC and were able to score two goals in a two minute period to lead 2-0 after eleven minutes. The Koalas fought back and came closest to scoring when Kylie Stewart had a shot that struck the post and richocheted away.
The second half saw the Bears dominate possession but create less clear cut chances in the first 25 minutes, but they were able to add another three goals in the last 20 minutes of the game for the final 5-0 scoreline.
Despite the loss, Columbia remains in 4th place in the AAC with a 7-3 conference record and 21 points overall. They will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they host the Milligan College Buffaloes at 1PM at home.
