Women's Soccer Plays to a Scoreless Draw at Montreat

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. - The Columbia College women's soccer team played to a tense scoreless draw on Wednesday evening on the road at Montreat College.

Junior keeper Teagan Eisenring played well again recording three saves on 3 shots on goal over the 90 minutes as the Lady Cavaliers just barely outshot the Koalas 12-10 in the match. Each team recorded four corner kicks apiece while both committing 13 fouls each as the teams were evenly matched. 

Sophomore forward Malia Kincaid led the women with four shot attempts overall and one on goal while junior Kaky Sears and freshman Grace Underwood also posted shots on goal. 

Columbia goes to 4-2-4 on the season overall and 1-2-3 in the conference with 6 points and in 9th place while MC is now 3-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the AAC with 7 points and in 8th place.

The Koalas will next return to action on Saturday when they face Reinhardt on the road at 5:00 pm in Georgia.
