Pringle and Racic Become Outdoor All-Americans
MARION, Ind. - The Columbia College outdoor track and field teams crowned two All-Americans at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN this week.
Sophomore indoor All-American and conference champion Mackenzie Pringle competed in the Triple Jump with sophomore teammate Makayla Blango on Thursday evening and ended up finishing 7th overall to become an outdoor All-American for the second straight season. Pringle won her heat with a mark of 12.12 meters (nearly 40 ft) while Blango finished third in the same heat with a mark of 11.9 meters (39 ft) falling just one spot short of qualifying for the finals. Pringle would go on to finish 7th overall while Blango ended up in 11th place.
Pringle also went on to finish 5th in her heat of the 100m Hurdles running a time of 14.7 seconds on Thursday afternoon. However, her time was not fast enough to qualify for the top 9 that advance to the finals on Friday. Overall, Pringle placed 16th out of 24 competitors.
During the women's 4x100 meter relay on Wednesday afternoon, the Lady Koalas ran a time of 48.5 seconds to finish in 8th place in their heat and 24th overall out of 27 teams. The relay team consisted of Pringle, and sophomores Ashante Shaw, Mykayla Howard, and Latrice Brown.
Men's senior Dorde Racic then competed in the 5000 meter Racewalk finals later Thursday and finished 4th overall to become an All-American. He finished with a school-record time of 21:16 to secure five team points for the Koalas. Racic was also an indoor All-American this season and a conference champion.
The women's team finished 42nd overall in the team standings while the men placed 22nd.
