Emily Sox Signs with Koalas

Emily Sox has committed to play volleyball at Columbia College next fall.  Emily, a defensive specialist, comes from nearby Airport High School in West Columbia, SC.

Daughter of Jimmy and Debra Sox, Emily will major in education at Columbia College.  As well as playing for Airport High School, Sox plays club with Magnum volleyball based out of Columbia, SC.  Head coach Brian Solomon said, "After coaching Emily in club last season, I know what a great individual we are adding to our program."

In addition to Emily joining the team next season, the Koalas added two players at the spring semester.  Crystal Garza and Nikki Golston will compete in their first season next fall for Columbia College.  Nikki, a graduate of Dutch Fork High School, competed for two seasons at Spartanburg Methodist College as an outside hitter.  In her sophomore season, Golston was named an all-region selection.  Crystal Garza, a defensive specialist, graduated from White Noll High School and played with Magnum volleyball club.
