Koalas Volleyball Host St. Andrews in AAC Contest
Columbia, SC -- The Columbia College (SC) volleyball team will look to snap a 3-game losing streak, Tuesday (Sept. 14) when they host St. Andrews University. The first serve for the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest is 6:30 pm in Porter Gym at the Godbold Center on the campus of Columbia College.
Admission for all Koalas volleyball games is $5. Columbia College students, faculty, and staff are free with Columbia College ID.
Columbia College (1-4, 0-2 AAC) is coming off a 3-0 conference loss at Reinhardt last Saturday. In the contest, the Koalas recorded just 14 kills for an attack percentage of .015
Nya Grey had four kills, and Becca Lorimer put up five set assists for Columbia College in the loss.
Freshman Jordan Coates leads the Koalas on the season with 23 kills, 41 assists, and 36 digs.
St. Andrews brings a 1-11 overall and 1-0 AAC record into tomorrow's contest. In their last outing, the Knights defeated Brenau 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-23, and 25-18). Ashley McGugan had nine kills to lead the team offensively.
After Tuesday's contest, Columbia College will remain home for its next two games, as they Johnson University (Tenn.) on Friday (Sept. 17) and Saturday (Sept. 18) vs. Union.
