Women's XC finishes 3rd at BJU

GREENVILLE, S.C. - the Columbia College women's cross country team placed 3rd out of 8 schools at the Bob Jones University 6K Invitational on Saturday morning. BJU won the meet followed by Truett-McConnell in second place.

The Lady Koalas had their four women all place in the top 12 of the 26 runners in the race led by junior Juliana Gonzalez running a personal record time of 25:06 to place 4th. Junior Mina Shull then came across in 7th place running a season-best time of 25:56 in the 3.7 mile event.

Also running well were freshman Avarose Buccino who placed 10th in a personal record time of 26:24 while junior Jennyfer Vigueras came across in 27:01 to place 12th and also achieve a personal record.

The women will next be in action for the AAC Championships on Nov. 8 in Knoxville, TN at 11 AM.
