ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Columbia College volleyball team fell 3-0 on the road at NCCAA foe Clinton College on Tuesday evening from the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center.
Clinton won set one 25-16 followed by 25-20 and 25-14 scores. Clinton totaled 30 kills to the Koala's 20.
Junior setter Debra Shephard almost recorded a double-double notching 18 assists and 9 digs with 2 kills and a block while sophomore libero Katie Roberts picked up 13 digs and 2 assists. Freshman hitter Vada Monaghan also led with 6 kills and added 3 digs.
Senior middle Destiny Brown led with 3 blocks while outisde hitters Kameron Turner and Tamia Fripp combined for 8 kills.
The Lady Koalas will next have a week off until matching up with Clinton again, but this time at home at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
