Junior Year:
As a junior, she scored a total of 108 points, averaging 36.1% from the field, and 62.5 from the free throw line. Cruz had a big defensive role, she accumulated 59 rebounds for the season as a shooting guard. She provided key minutes on the court and stepped up when needed attacking the rim. Her game high was 10 points in a conference game against Milligan College. She received the All-Academic Team for the second year in a row and contributed to her team on and off the court. As an incoming senior, she hopes to achieve the All-Academic Team for her third time and to help her team reach higher rankings.
Sophomore Year:
Had a key role as a starter for most games as a point guard and later into the season became a shooting guard. She had a total of 76 points, shooting 30.1% from the field, and 47.8% from the free throw line. She accumulated 44 rebounds as a guard including 22 assists and 20 steals for the season. Her game high was 15 points in a conference game against Virginia Intermont. As a sophomore she was recognized as one of the two Columbia College players on the All-Academic Team and was awarded the Columbia College Erma Kizer Ruston Award for Athletic Excellence.
First Year:
She contributed defensively as a first year, and had a game high of 4 points against St. Andrews. Provided necessary minutes as a player off of the bench as a back-up point guard helping the team reach the playoffs for the 1st time in program history. As a freshman she understood her role watching and learning from the senior point guard and was determined to work and develop her skills for her sophomore year.
