Columbia, SC – After seven days off, the Columbia College women's basketball team will return to action this Wednesday, Dec. 7, when they travel to Walkesa, Ga., to take on the Eagles of Reinhardt University in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game.
The Koalas (1-5, 1-4 AAC) will close out the 2022 calendar year Saturday, Dec. 10, at Johnson University (Tenn.).
In their last outing (Nov. 29) Columbia College fell to Erskine, 64-39. Aa'Breah Keitt paced the Koalas with eight points and nine rebounds. Renasia Jeter-McKissick came off the bench to contribute eight points and six rebounds.
Over the first six games of the season, Carnasia Wells leads the team in scoring and assists, averaging 11.3 points and 2.3, respectively. Keitt is second on the team in scoring and first in rebounding, averaging 10.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. Her 8.2 rebounds per game rank her seventh in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC)
Columbia College will play its first three-of-four games at home after the holiday break, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3, when they host Brenau in an AAC game. The Koalas will host Milligan (Jan. 5) and Montreat (Jan. 11), and will travel to Barbourville, Ky., January 7 to take on Union College.
