Lady Koalas Settle for Scoreless Draw at Brenau

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The Columbia College women's soccer team played stellar defense throughout but were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw on the road at AAC foe Brenau University Wednesday night in north Georgia.

The star of the night, however, was junior goalkeeper Teagan Eisenring as she made a season-high 10 saves on all 10 shots on goal. Columbia was led by four shots attemped from senior defender Kimia Hughey as well as one shot on goal apiece from sophomore forward Malia Kincaid and junior midfielder Kendyl Moore.

Brenau outshot the Koalas 8-3 in the first half and 11-3 in the second, but CC held them out of the net throughout the physical match. CC totaled four corner kicks and 12 fouls.

Columbia is now 2-2-3 overall and 0-2-2 in the AAC while Brenau goes to 4-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference.

The Koalas finally return home this Saturday when they will host Milligan University (TN) at 1:00 pm.
