Basketball Repeats with Allen

The Columbia College basketball team defeated Allen University in their home opener 69-49; it was their second victory over Allen in a span of eight days.

The Koalas were led by Merissa Witherspoon who contributed 12 points and 7 rebounds, both team highs.  Desiree O'neal also contributed 10 points on 4 of 7 shooting.  The Koalas shot only 37 percent from the field in the victory, but turned up the defensive effort forcing 34 turnovers from Allen.  Allen University was led in scoring by Faith Simmons who scored 20 points.

The victory moves Columbia College to 2-2 on the young season.
