Basketball Stumbles Against Lady Vikings

Columbia College hosted Berry College Saturday, falling 46-64 to the Lady Vikings.

The Fighting Koalas were led by sophomore Emmie Bland who scored a game and season high 19 points.  Bland was productive from the floor on 8-of-14 shooting.  The Koalas shot a season best 56 percent on 16-of-37 from the field, but were outmatched on the offensive boards by the Vikings. 

Visiting Berry College had 9 more offensive rebounds than the Koalas while shooting 47 percent on the day.  Nikki Jackson led Berry College with 10 points and a game high 5 assists. 

The win moves Berry College to 5-1 in the SSAC and a three way tie for first place.  The Kaoals drop to 0-6 in the SSAC and 2-10 overall.  Columbia College continues their SSAC competition at Brewton-Parker College on January 15, at 6:00 pm.
