Columbia Continues to Protect Home Court
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College Fighting Koalas basketball team continues to perform and protect their home court as they defeated Point University tonight 90-79.
Columbia College has won 3 straight at home and continues to build momentum during the final games of the season. The Lady Skyhawks of Point University came into tonight's match up with one win already over Columbia. The Fighting Koalas had an outstanding first half scoring 51 of their 90 points on the night and outrebounded their opponent 50-33.
Veteran, Nikki Craig led Columbia's offense tonight with an impressive double-double totaling 12 rebounds and 23 points. Junior, Krystal Morissette also came through for Columbia adding her own double-double, leading the Fighting Koalas in rebounds with 16 and tallied 11 points.
Columbia looks to continue to perform at home as they take on top conference team Tennessee Wesleyan this Saturday-tip off 2:00 p.m.
