Basketball Defeats Lady Knights 88-82

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Fighting Koala basketball team traveled to Laurinburg, N.C this past weekend and faced off against AAC rival St. Andrews University. Columbia picked up another win as they defeated the Lady Knights 88-82 at Harris Court.

Columbia looked impressive in the second half against St. Andrews as they were 5 of 8 from 3 point range led by junior Kirby Norris. Norris ended the night in double-digits and was Columbia's leading scorer with 24 points. Returner, Taylor Smith had a break out game where she posted 20 points and helped take her team to their 6th win of the season.

The Fighting Koalas are now 3-6 in the AAC and sit in 8th and are 6-15 overall going into the last stretch of the season. Don't forget to join the Columbia basketball team as they look ahead to home games which will honor this years seniors and celebrate family day.
