COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College Basketball team finished their season last week at the AAC conference tournament in Kingsport, TN. Winning the play in game against Point University the basketball season finally came to a close in the first round of the tournament against Milligan College.
Four members of this year's team were honored by the AAC. Seniors Nikki Craig and Krystle Morrisette were named to the third-team all conference and joined by Heather Gibson of Tennessee Wesleyan and Kayla Orrick of Virginia Intermont.
There are 34 student-athletes to make the Academic All-Conference Team with Tennessee Wesleyan leading the way with seven members. Columbia College basketball team members include: Jaymee Cruz and Claire Boseman.
The Fighting Koalas finished 9-23 overall and 5-13 in the AAC and finished 8th. The season highs included wins against Tennessee Wesleyan, Montreat, and second consecutive post-season win.
