Soccer Conquers Converse

The Columbia College soccer team broke into the win column with a 1-0 shutout at Converse College Monday evening.

Ashley Eckler made the transition from goal keeper to forward this season and came through with her first collegiate goal.  Eckler's lone goal came in the second half on a corner kick from Skylarh Thorne.  Tiffani Folles put in another strong performance in goal, recording her first shutout of the season with 10 saves.

The win is the first of the season and coming off a 1-1 tie with Emmanuel College.  The Koalas are next in action Saturday at Lee University.
