Volleyball Wins Three in a Row

The Columbia College Volleyball team took two matches on Saturday as they visited Brenau University and continued their recent success against local Allen University.

The Fighting Koalas picked up two wins against Brenau University and Taccoa Falls College Saturday.  The Koalas defeated conference member Brenau in three sets 25-15, 25-19, 25-20.  They immediately turned around and eliminated nearby Taccoa Falls College in three sets 25-12, 25-22, 25-18.  Freshman Ashley Hasty turned in the top performance against SSAC member Brenau with 13 kills in the three set victory.

The Fighting Koalas continued their momentum with a three set victory over Allen University Tuesday night 25-11, 25-12, 25-10.  Everyone contributed to the Koalas success with Senior Lauren Bach leading the way with 8 kills.  Junior Jennamarie Lesky recorded 7 service aces and freshman Ashli Bunch finished with 6 service aces.
